Welcome to our Visitors!
Thank for visiting us today! We hope the following information will be helpful to you in learning more about our congregation.
Where is the church?
- Our address is 455 W. Sunnyside Road in Idaho Falls, ID. We are located at the corner of Sunnyside Road and Rollandet Avenue.
- For more detailed directions and a map, please see our Contact Info.
Where do I park?
- The entrance to our parking lot is located on Rollandet Avenue. There are parking spaces reserved especially for visitors. These are located along the tall green shrubs to your left as you enter the parking lot.
When do I need to arrive?
- Our worship services are at 8:15am and 11:00am. Prelude music generally starts about 5 minutes before the service starts. This is a good time for preparation and reflection before the service starts.
- We welcome all visitors and members for a time of fellowship starting at 9:30am. Drinks and food are provided. Sunday School and Bible study follows beginning at 9:45am.
What can I expect at worship?
- Gathering: Prelude music, confession and forgiveness, a gathering hymn and the prayer of the day gather us together in worship.
- Word: We hear a reading out of the Old Testament, the New Testament and a reading from one of the Gospels. The sermon helps us think about how the readings apply to our life today. In thankfulness for the good news of Jesus Christ, we respond by singing a sermon hymn, professing our faith using the Apostles' or Nicene Creed, and gathering an offering.
- Meal: All baptized believers are welcome to receive the Lord's Supper. Every week, we come to our Lord's Table to receive the gifts He has to give us in the bread and the wine. You do not need to be a member of our church to take the meal.
- Sending: Having been nourished by God's Word and the Lord's Supper, we are sent out into the world to be disciples of Jesus Christ. We receive a post-communion blessing, benediction and sing together a sending hymn.
There are four main parts to our worship service: gathering, word, meal and sending.
What can my children expect at worship?
-
Children are welcome to worship. During the service, there is usually a children's time when one of the pastors will talk with the children and relate the Bible readings from the day to their life.
- For parents desiring a nursery for their children, we have a supervised nursery for childrean ages 0-5. The nursery is available from 8:15am to 12:00pm.
