The Finance Ministry shall enlist the aid of all standing committees and shall
oversee the preparation of a draft budget for the succeeding year and shall
submit it to the Congregation Council in time to be proposed to the congregation
during the annual Stewardship emphasis. The committee shall provide for annual
audits of the accounts of the bookkeeper and financial secretary and congregation
organizations. It shall manage congregation investments and banking activities
as directed by the Congregation Council and recommend to the Council basic personnel
policies, salaries, and benefits for clergy and lay employees. It shall process all
memorial gifts and monies received and work with family members, standing committees,
Congregation Council and the congregation to assure that useful and appropriate
memorial gifts are purchased.
