Constitution's Description
The Christian Education Ministry in consultation with the pastor(s) shall oversee
the conduct and promotion of all organized educational activities within the
congregation. It shall encourage the use of teaching and worship materials
published or approved by the ELCA and seek to introduce the church's periodicals
and books of family devotion into the homes of the congregation. The committee
shall recruit, equip and support teachers. provide Sunday Church School for children
and adults, Vacation Church School for children and Confirmation and First Communion
instruction. It shall bring to the congregation's youth the call to the ministry of the
Gospel and other full-time church vocations, and introduce the congregation's youth to
church affiliated colleges and universities and to encourage them to attend. It shall
support and promote Bible Camp and Retreat activities.
