The Finance Ministry enlists the aid of all standing committees and oversees the preparation of a draft budget for the succeeding year, submitting it to the Congregation Council in time to be proposed to the congregation during the annual Stewardship emphasis. The committee provides for annual audits of the accounts of the bookkeeper and financial secretary and congregation organizations. It manages congregation investments and banking activities as directed by the Congregation Council and recommends to the Council basic personnel policies, salaries, and benefits for clergy and lay employees. It processes all memorial gifts and monies received and works with family members, standing committees, Congregation Council and the congregation to assure that useful and appropriate memorial gifts are purchased. See our Ministry Goals.
