First Lutheran offers a range of activities and studies for our adult members and guests. The following are synopses of these activities:
Sunday Bible Study
Sunday Bible Studies cover a wide array of topics, from specific studies through the books of the Bible to relevant social and community issues.
Pastor Larry Cudmore is currently leading a study on the book of Galatians through the summer. Bible Study will be in the Fellowship Hall following Sunday morning service and Coffee Hour.
Women's Bible Study
The women of the congregation meet once a week in the evening for a time of fellowship and sharing, as well as exploration into the word.
There is no group currently meeting during the summer. Please contact the church office for more information on upcoming meetings.
Men's Ministry
This group meets at Fairwinds retirement community for a time of fellowship, short devotion/Bible study, prayer and good food. All men are welcome to attend.
This takes place every 3rd Saturday of each month, starting at 8am.
Men's Kaffeeklatsch
This informal group meeting is held every Thursday at 10:00 am in the lounge of the church. The purpose and only requisite of the group is to enjoy coffee, varied desserts, good friendship, good conversation and good objective discussion of local, national and international subjects and events.
LIFT (Living In Faith Together)
Living In Faith Together is an intergenerational program of faith building for all ages, youth and adult. There is a 4 week fall session available; the group meets every Wednesday night for dinner, a group activity and a closing message.
